Quick Notary FAQs
Many real estate, estate planning, and certain international documents must be notarized in order to have the legal effect they are intended for. A notary public’s duty is to act as a liable.
You can get your documents notarized at Illinois Notary Pros. The best part is we come to you – so you don’t have to leave your home or office! We have mobile notaries available and ready to drive to your location.
Be prepared with the following:
- A valid government issued ID such as a drivers license or state ID
- The documents printed and ready for when the notary arrives
- All individuals who are required to be witnessed be present before your appointment. If not all individuals are there by the time our notary arrives, additional costs could incur.
In some cases, a notary cannot legally act as a notary AND witness, therefore, some documents require an additional witness to be valid such as notarizing a will. You are more than welcomed to find your own witnesses for your notary appointment.
If you cannot find witnesses, we do have staff we can bring along for an additional fee.
More than just notaries
We’re Signing Agents
Some places claim to be notaries but are not authorized to sign for certain documents.
At Illinois Notary Pros, we are signing agents meaning we have authority to notarize all kinds of documents where other notaries or places of business cannot.
